Glad to Be Home

We arrived home today! When we were coming back into town, we passed over the Main Ave bridge (Veteran's Memorial Bridge) that crosses from Moorhead to downtown Fargo. We can't believe how high the river still is, and it has gone down 4 feet already. We came back to a little over a foot of snow on the ground that is wet, snowman building snow. Our apartment was untouched by water, which was VERY nice to see. We will be working on the apartment tomorrow to put everything back in it's place.
Our mayor has lifted his request that only essential businesses be open, and he wants to have the city start to return to normal. I will return to work tomorrow, which I'm sure will be busy. I am looking forward to it tho! Jeff is off work until Monday, since they closed the campus until then. Piper is anxious (and we are too!) to be back in school. She goes back Monday as well. We are all very ready to be back to our normal life, as busy as that is.
We are all very happy to be sleeping in our own beds tonight. We are grateful to my father in-law for allowing us to stay with him for almost a week. I know his life is pretty quiet normally, and my children can create a lot of chaos at times, so it is much appreciated.
We are still praying and watching the river. Because of the snow that we received last night and possibly more on the way, there is a possibility that the river could reach between 37-41 feet again in mid-April. So, as our city officials have stated, we must remain vigilant.
